The Dangers of Buying Viagra Online



One of the more prevalent scams which is being perpetrated on the Internet at the current time is the sale of prescription drugs and placebo drugs which are claimed to be real drugs. Viagra is currently the drug of choice for illegal sale on the Internet. Millions of dollars are being made through unsolicited e-mails and on web sites which are said to sell fake drugs which resemble the real thing. Each year thousands of people are duped out of their money when they try to purchase an illegal prescription for the drug Viagra.

Viagra is a drug which is used to combat male impotence, otherwise known as erectile dysfunction. Pfizer is a pharmaceutical company which owns the patent and manufactures Viagra. This drug has gained popularity among some for the explicit use as an aphrodisiac. Viagra was not meant to be taken by healthy males, but only used in those individuals with erectile dysfunction.

Viagra scams are a big moneymaker for the con artists who use unsolicited e-mail and bogus web sites to offer it to unwitting individuals. Some web sites offer what is known as herbal Viagra which is purported to work just like the drug Viagra. They even goes so far as to make the herbal Viagra look exactly like the prescription drug Viagra which leads many to believe they are buying an actual drug and not herbal supplements.

There are also web sites which are selling placebo or fake Viagra pills. These placebo drugs also have the same shape and blue color of the real prescription drug Viagra. Often these fake pills contain nothing them which could be category highest as an active ingredient. However it should be noted that these counterfeit drugs could also include harmful ingredients in them, which makes them quite a risky business to use.

The real Viagra is made only to be taken by those men who are suffering from erectile dysfunction, and should only be available by prescription from a qualified medical doctor.

Obtaining Viagra without being evaluated by a competent physician could lead to serious health risks and physical problems to the user. This drug has been shown to have several possible unpleasant side effects such as hypotension, ventricular arrhythmias, excessive intraocular pressure and even stroke or sudden death. Viagra is not recommended for those individuals who suffer from cardio vascular problems are for those who have had a stroke. Users of Viagra may also suffer from a condition known as priapism. This is a very serious and painful condition which can occur in certain individuals. Priapism is when an individual gets an erection which will not return to a flaccid state. Immediate medical care must be sought in this condition occurs.

If you find yourself tempted to purchase drugs online then you should ask yourself one question, are you really willing to trust a spammer to give you something that would not hurt you? Sure, if you buy fake drug and it does not hurt you all you have lost is a chunk of your money, but if it causes you physical harm that you have lost a lot more than just your cash.
